The utensils are thought for domestic use in everyday life.
In the kitchen, in the dining room or wherever you need a spoon or a utensil.
A careful and playful cooperation between two artisans and old friends, Ólöf Erla Bjarnadóttir and Margrét Gudnadottir.
There was much care going into both making the individual pieces and ensuring that
they match in form, colour and functionality.
Ólöf starts by hand molding the spoons from porcelain in her palm, glazes them and fires. Margret carves the handles from basket willow, grown on her property in West Iceland.
Margrét and Ólöf with their utensils were selected to be part of the exhibition European Prize For Applied Arts.  The opening of the  exhibition took place October 24th, in Mons, Belgium, but Mons is the 2015 European Capital of Culture.
The exhibition will be open until January 10th 2016.
